SPPM NC

Pilotage consists of the assistance given to the captain by personnel commissioned by the government of New Caledonia, for the conduct and manoeuvring of ships within the compulsory pilotage areas of New Caledonia (in inland waters).

The pilots are grouped into a Professional Union of Maritime Pilots of New Caledonia (SPPMNC).
