About us

The Maritime and Port Union of New Caledonia (UMEP NC) is a professional federation that brings together unions representing stakeholders in the maritime, port and industrial-port sector in New Caledonia.

Created in 2010, its aim is to unite the different components of the port area, to strengthen synergies between businesses and to contribute to the fluidity and performance of the logistics chain at the port of Nouméa.

The UMEP NC acts as a forum for consultation, representation and promotion of the collective interests of the maritime and port community. It works for the sustainable development and competitiveness of the Caledonian port area, in close collaboration with public institutions and economic partners.
